Why Low Stress Animal Handling Matters

Can raising cattle have a net positive impact? Ours does…

“How?” you might ask.

It is important to know that herd animals (think bison and elk) coevolved with rangelands (54% of earth surface). Herd animals and rangelands formed a codependency- these herbivores need plentiful, diverse, and nutrient filled forage, and the land needs the herd hoof impact and nutrient deposition to grow into that healthy forage.

We manage our cattle to mimic this relationship.

We raise our cattle in one group moving them every 1-4 days, getting even distribution of manure while preventing under/overgrazing.
Restoring this relationship grows us better forage, healthier soil, better rain infiltration and filtering, more wildlife, and of course, happier and healthy humans.
